The Cadillac is Salty’s favorite sandwich, and for good reason. He named it the Cadillac in homage to the car, because this sandwich has everything he wants and nothing he needs. While I personally prefer a few more vegetables on my lunchtime sandos, I love making Cadillac sliders as snacks, since they are a great way to use up leftover ingredients and are quite delicious.
Ingredients
Chicken or turkey Saucy Note: I like to use leftover chicken for this recipe, but deli turkey also works in a pinch.
Slider rolls or sliced baguette rounds
Bacon
Cheese Saucy Note: I always have a blend of shredded cheese somewhere in my fridge, but sliced cheese also works. I mean, I guess any cheese would work. Use what you have.
Ranch Saucy Note: I like using homemade ranch that is a couple days old so the garlic flavor is extra strong. Or you can mix extra garlic into regular ranch.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Fry bacon and chop into large pieces. Drain on a paper towel.
Lightly toast bread. Smear with ranch dressing. Place a piece or two of bacon on each half sandwich. Saucy Note: I also love to serve these open faced on the baguette rounds, which means every slice of bread needs bacon on it.
Warm chicken. I like to use a bamboo steamer to reheat meat because it keeps it from drying out, but a little simmering chicken broth in a pan will also quickly heat it up. Pile onto bacon and bread, and then sprinkle with cheese. Place sliders in oven for 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
